Maurice Ampaw Married Longtime Friend After Wife's Death

Maurice Ampaw, a Ghanaian lawyer, shared details about his swift remarriage following his wife's death in 2021. He remarried in 2022, a year after the passing of Mrs. Evelyn Ampaw in February 2021.

In a July 6 interview with media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, Ampaw revealed that he had known his second wife as a close friend for over seven years. "We had been friends for more than seven years; she lived in Kumasi. Whenever I visited Kumasi, she took care of me," he said on The Delay Show.

Ampaw admitted that, although he was married at the time, he maintained a friendship with this woman in Offinso and chose not to disclose this to his late wife out of respect. "No, I respected her, so I didn’t tell her," he stated.

He also mentioned that he spent time at his friend's house in Kumasi, enjoying her company and the meals she prepared. When asked by Delay if this friend ever "gingered" him, Ampaw admitted, "As for the ‘gingering,’ it was just once."

Ampaw further disclosed that he and his friend shared a bed, went on dates, and did various activities together while his first wife was still alive.
